DUE TO THE SHUT DOWN OF TRAVEL, I AM LOOKING AT A NEW TRAVEL ADVENTURE FOR THE WEEKEND

RESEARCH ON CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 WHERE IT MOST LIKELY ORIGINATED FROM, HOW IT SPREAD.

RESEARCH I HAVE BEEN DOING IS QUITE INTERESTING
AND EDUCATIONAL.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT FROM LOCAL OR
NATIONAL NEWSPAPERS, THIS IS ONLINE RESEARCH.

THE Covid-19 coronavirus is similar to one detected in bats in China
in 2013. But a failure to act on the warnings of those who studied
it means we missed an opportunity to protect human health.
While some are now saying the Covid-19 virus passed to humans from
pangolins, it is likely that pangolins are merely victims of the infection,
like us. “From the virology evidence available to date, the virus is
almost certainly from a species of bat,” says Andrew Cunningham of the
Zoological Society of London.
The coronavirus family is a big one — it includes the common cold,
pneumonia, SARS, and the new coronavirus that’s spreading in China.
The various strains can cause very different ailments, but they have one
thing in common: an external structure that features little crown-like spikes.
The novel coronavirus and the SARS outbreak of 2003 have two things in
Common: Both are from the coronavirus family, and both most likely started
in wet markets in China.  At such markets, outdoor stalls are squeezed
together to form narrow lanes, where locals and visitors shop for cuts of
meat and ripe produce.
A stall selling Caged chickens may abut a butcher counter, where meat is chopped
as nearby dogs watch hungrily. Some vendors hock hares, while seafood stalls
display glistening fish and shrimp.Wet markets put people along with live and
dead animals — dogs, chickens, pigs, snakes, civets, and more — in constant
close contact. That makes it easy for zoonotic diseases to jump from animals
to humans.
“Poorly regulated, live-animal markets mixed with illegal wildlife trade offer a
unique opportunity for viruses to spill over from wildlife hosts into the human
population,” the Wildlife Conservation Society said in a statement.
In the case of SARS and the new coronavirus disease, called COVID-19, bats were
the original hosts. The bats then infected other animals, which transmitted the
disease to humans. The coronavirus has now killed at least 11,921 people and
infected more than 299,061 others.
The market where the current outbreak may have started, the Huanan Seafood
Wholesale Market in Wuhan, was shuttered January 1. Wuhan authorities banned
the trade of live animals at all wet markets there soon after, and China announced
a temporary national ban on the buying, selling, and transportation of wild
animals in markets, restaurants, and online marketplaces across the country as well.
On Monday, that ban became permanent. Farms that breed and transport wildlife
to wet markets were also quarantined and shut down.

Here’s what Chinese wet markets looked like before these new policies went into effect.

Wet markets like Huanan are common in China. They’re called wet markets
because vendors often slaughter animals in front of customers.
“That means there’s a lot of skinning of dead animals in front of shoppers and
as a result, aerosolizing of all sorts of things,” Emily Landon, an infectious-disease
specialist at University of Chicago Medicine
Coronaviruses invade the respiratory tract via the nose. After an incubation
period of about 3 days, they cause the symptoms of a common cold, including
nasal obstruction, sneezing, runny nose, and occasionally cough.
The disease resolves in a few days, during which virus is shed in nasal secretions.
There is some evidence that the respiratory coronaviruses can cause disease of the
lower airways but it is unlikely that this is due to direct invasion. Other manifestations
of disease such as multiple sclerosis have been attributed to these viruses but the
evidence is not clear-cut.

THE USUAL SUSPECTS!

From our friend…I believe this is one of his best…
If anyone has watched CNN or MSNBC over the past few days, they would have noticed a decided story line in almost every single broadcast..It is “all in” against Donald Trump…Watch at night and almost the only subject that is up for grabs is..exposing what “Trump missed”, “showing how Trump and his administration” have “seriously lied” to the American Public about the Coronavirus”..”Trump is a Racist” .And when they get a guest who does NOT support their approach to the news (some word!), they go after the guest and simply badger the hell out them…
They spend precious little time telling you how to cope with the VIRUS..it seems that it is far more important to “take down the President”…And this morning it occurred to me exactly why this phenomenon is happening…The Media actually HATE Trump more than the Democrats, if that is possible!..Trump has made the media completely irrelevant ….
60/70 million on Twitter follow Donald everyday and non-stop Press Conferences have also allowed Trump to completely control the narrative..BUT..here is the key..The “usual suspects”…Nancy..Chuckie…et all are gone..not to be found..SILENCE…they are not being interviewed and they are not holding daily press briefings saying that Trump is incompetent..So the only guys left standing are the media..Yep…there are simply too many Democrats..important Democrats, who have come out and literally praised the work of the President and his staff..So much so that yesterday, 2 sources that are rarely if ever on his side..Politico and Axios, came out and said..”READY!”…Trump’s approval ratings, in specific reference to his handling of the Virus, is at 55%…
Yes sir..The American public..and such important Democrats as the Gov of Ca, the Governor of NY..the Governor of Maryland…have all said the very same thing..”Trump and his administration have given us everything we have asked for”….And the poor MEDIA is simply apoplectic because they see their last chance to take Donald down simply slipping away..But if you really want to get depressed..think about this…Governor Cuomo of NY had it right yesterday…
“WE ARE ALL AMERICANS..NOT DEMOCRATS or REPUBLICANS, AMERICANS in this WAR AGAINST THE VIRUS”…It is a damn shame the media doesn’t see it that way…But they have exposed their true colors…Last evening I was speaking to a very close friend..a liberal, NYC Democrat who struggles to find a nice word for Trump  under most circumstances..He said he watched yesterday’s Press Briefing and his comment was..
“I think Trump did a good job”…Well, he is obviously not alone…55% of America thinks exactly the same way..Seems as though most Americans think the same..only the media is still governed by their hatred of Trump and they really don’t care how the country feels or what the country’s needs…If anyone wants to know why approximately 80% of the country does not trust the media...Well…you do not have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out…Just listen to them lie ..every day..and they still don’t get it…
