Old Story Gets New Traction: Valerie Jarrett, Slumlord

Monday,   “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj”
A by-product of Barr’s tweet was that Valerie Jarrett became the number-one search topic on TuesdayOn Wednesday,True Pundit resurrected a story from 2008 linking Jarrett to her operation of slums in Chicago.
  • Jarrett served as a board member for several organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago housing projects operated by Obama donors Rezko and Allison Davis. One project was exposed by the Chicago Sun Times as having squalid living conditions.
  • Jarrett also managed a controversial project called  Grove Parc Plaza. Its apartments were considered uninhabitable, with sewage backing up into kitchen sinks, mice running through the halls, and caved-in roofs.
  • Grove Parc was subsidized by the federal government. In 2006, federal inspectors rated the complex’s condition an 11 on a 100-point scale. Jarret also managed an even larger subsidized complex in Chicago that was seized by the federal government in 2006 because of widespread problems.
  • She also received astonishing tax breaks on luxury condos and interesting compensations for investment deals, documented here.
Jarrett is Iranian-born and her father and grandfather wereCommunists who were also tracked by the FBI. Jarrett married the son of Chicago journalist Vernon Jordan who was a Communist sympathizer. After Obama left office in 2016, he and Michelle rented a home in D.C., and Jarrett moved in with them.   Why this Matters: The double-standard in Hollywood and media is no surprise. Bob Iger, CEO of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ABC does not tolerate comments like those made by Barr. Yet, President Trump is still waiting for apologies from Hollywood and media personalities who called him an “orange orangutang,” “a Nazi,” and “a white supremacist.” The people who said these things still have their jobs.

Barr, took responsibility for her words in subsequent comments, tweeting:

“It was 2 in the morning and I was Ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible,” she wrote. “I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but…don’t defend it please.”    The drugmaker of Ambien then called Barr out for blaming their drug

Democrat Obstruction in the Senate Is Hurting Our Courts

Thomas Jipping  / 59 Comments

Our federal courts are facing a vacancy crisis like never before.

The number of judicial vacancies across the federal bench has averaged 142 so far this year. The only year that came close to this was 1991, which had an average of 138 vacancies—but that was shortly after Congress created 85 new judicial positions.   More than half of the current vacancies are designated as “judicial emergencies” by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts because those seats have been open so long and they significantly impact the caseloads of other judges. This is a real vacancy crisis.
As of May 30, 39 nominees to the U.S. district courts and U.S. courts of appeal were pending before the full Senate after being approved by the Judiciary Committee. More than half of these nominees are slated to fill judicial emergency vacancies.   The liberal Left continue to push their radical agenda against American values. The good news is there is a solution. Find out more >>
With so many vacancies, you might ask, why doesn’t the Senate just approve these pending nominees?
The confirmation process has two speeds: normal and slog. Not “slow,” but “slog.” This is the speed that results when the minority party uses various tactics to intentionally make the process as cumbersome and time-consuming as possible. It’s like trying to walk through molasses.   The confirmation process has been a slog almost since President Donald Trump took office. One of the tactics that Democrats are using is to force the Senate to take two separate votes on every nomination: one to end debate, and one to confirm.
Democrats have forced double votes on 95 percent of Trump’s judicial nominees so far. That’s compared to 8 percent of President Barack Obama’s nominees at this point, and a flat zero for Presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter. You could keep going back and the result would be the same.
This one tactic is a drag on the confirmation process in four ways.
First, since the number of votes needed to end debate and to confirm are the same, there is no reason to take any votes to end debate. Second, the Senate has to wait two days to vote on ending debate after a vote is requested. Third, even after the Senate votes to end debate, there can be up to 30 more hours of consideration. And fourth, Democrats are forcing the Senate to jump through these hoops for nominees who have no opposition at all, and for more than a half-dozen originally nominated by Obama.
Even after debate is ended, Democrats are forcing the Senate to take a formal roll call vote to approve every single nomination. For context, in more than 200 years, at normal confirmation speed, the Senate used a roll call vote to confirm only 4 percent of judicial nominations. In yet another double-standard, Democrats have forced a roll call vote to confirm 96 percent of Trump’s judicial nominations.   Why is this such a big deal? A roll call vote requires every senator to come to the Senate floor and takes an average of about 35 minutes. The normal way of approving nominations was by unanimous consent or a voice vote, which did not require the presence of every senator and could take about 35 seconds. It all adds up.
The bottom line is that nominations that used to be confirmed in a matter of hours now can take a week or more. When the confirmation process is at slog speed, it displaces much more of the Senate’s business and presents much more challenging choices for the majority leader.   Democrats have slowed the confirmation process to a slog because they can, but it’s taking a serious toll on the judiciary. Vacancies are now more than 30 percent higher than when Trump took office, and at the level they are today, the American people who must bring matters to the courts are getting shortchanged.

Trump to pardon Dinesh D’Souza

Trump to pardon Dinesh D’Souza

Trump to pardon Dinesh D’SouzaPresident Trump announced early Thursday that he would be pardoning conservative author Dinesh D’Souza later in the afternoon.  “Will be giving a Full Pardon to Dinesh D’Souza today. He was treated very unfairly by our government!” Trump wrote on Twitter
D’Souza pleaded guilty to violating federal campaign laws in 2014 and was convicted of a felony.
He had been charged with illegally organizing $10,000 campaign donations from two people for Wendy Long’s 2012 Senate bid against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.). D’Souza and Long were friends at Dartmouth College, and he remained a supporter of Long when she ran as a Republican against Gillibrand.
Trump’s decision to pardon D’Souza comes one day after he met with reality TV star Kim Kardashian about prison reform.
Kardashian has been advocating for a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, a 65-year-old woman who is serving a life sentence in prison for a nonviolent drug offense. So far, Johnson has spent more than 20 years in federal prison.  Trump has made several pardons since taking office, most of them to well-known people. He most recently pardoned the boxer Jack Johnson posthumously last week. He has also given pardons to Scooter Libby, the former aide to former Vice President Dick Cheney, and to Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Trump-Bashing Will Sink GOP Establishment’s Adam Putnam

Trump-Bashing Will Sink GOP Establishment's Adam Putnam
It was likely always going to be an uphill battle for establishment candidate Adam Putnam in the race for Florida governor.  Yes, the state commissioner of agriculture has raised a lot of money from special interests in Tallahassee, but as we’ve seen in recent history, no amount of money can paper over a problematic record that, in Putnam’s case, includes support for amnesty (both the Arlen Specter-sponsored immigration bill in 2006 and the so-called Gang of 8 measure in 2013), opposition to E-Verify, support for the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street banks, voting with Nancy Pelosi for the Obama “cash for clunkers” program and supporting a massive expansion of federal authority over K-12 education, which laid the groundwork for Common Core.
But what really will be responsible for sinking Putnam’s candidacy is the hostility he has demonstrated toward President Trump.  This hostility is not just the typical behavior exhibited by run-of-the-mill establishment Republicans, but includes actively seeking to sabotage Trump’s candidacy and to undermine his presidency.  This is a big reason why GOP Congressman and Trump ally Ron DeSantis will win the Republican primary for governor on Aug. 28.
Deny Trump the GOP Nomination at the Convention?
Incredibly, Putnam entertained the notion that Trump would be denied the party’s nomination in a convention fight in Cleveland.  In a piece in the Miami Herald headlined “Putnam ‘not real thrilled’ with Trump, won’t back him,” Putnam ruled out endorsing Trump prior to the national gathering.  “I don’t envision a scenario where I would endorse Trump prior to the convention, and we’ll see what the convention yields,” said Putnam, a “super delegate” as a statewide elected official.  Putnam’s refusal was rooted in his negative view of Trump as a man.
So, even though Trump amassed the necessary delegates in the spring, Putnam wanted to “see what the convention yield[ed]”?  This could only mean that he entertained the pipe dream that a convention fight would result in Trump being denied the nomination.  This is an attitude commonly found deep in the bowels of the GOP establishment: heads the establishment wins and tails the voters lose.  Even though Donald Trump blitzed through the primaries amassing impressive victory after impressive victory, we somehow must allow the party establishment to render the people’s judgment null and void?

Help Hillary by Unfavorably Comparing Trump to Pence

During the general election campaign, Putnam continued his Trump bashing – even though that only helped Hillary Clinton.  He even used Indiana Gov. – and Trump running mate — Mike Pence as a way to criticize the nominee, saying that Pence was “180 degrees different” than Trump.  Unlike Pence, Putnam explained, Trump is not “a level, steady, consistent guy who is a well-read, conservative rooted in sort of the founding philosophical documents of conservatism.”
By that point, Donald Trump had experienced massive success in a variety of fields ranging from real estate to television.   To denigrate him by saying he wasn’t “level” or “steady” on the verge of the most significant presidential election in a generation represented sabotage of the first degree.  With Republicans like Putnam, who needs Democrats?

More Putnam Attacks on Trump: ‘Dishonorable’ and ‘Vile’

As the campaign wore on, Putnam – who refused to attend a single Trump rally in Florida during the campaign, even though he is a statewide official – continued to offer a steady stream of negative commentary of the candidate.  When Trump defended himself against attacks made by Khizr Khan and the news media during the 2016 Democratic convention, Putnam lashed out at Trump for being “abhorrent and dishonorable” and said Trump’s defense of himself “makes me question how badly he wants to win.  He keeps running his mouth about the most ridiculous things.”
When asked whether he intended to support Trump in November, Putnam demurred, saying, “I think I’ve said all I need to say about Trump today.”
Of course, when the “Access Hollywood” tape was leaked to the Washington Post a month before the 2016 election, Putnam rushed to condemn Trump as “vile and obscene.”  That the prospect of a Clinton victory would be detrimental to the country seemed not to have mattered to Putnam, who was more interested in currying favor with the media and anti-Trump political establishment.

Post-Trump Victory: Putnam Keeps Trump-Bashing

Following the election, Republicans across the country basked in the glow of Donald Trump’s historic victory over Hillary Clinton and were delighted as President-elect Trump began assembling a stellar Cabinet, including such luminaries as Mike Pompeo. Not Adam Putnam, who continued his anti-Trumpism by deriding the Trump transition as a “circus.”  It is almost as if Putnam was part of that small and irrelevant class of Republicans who deep down really preferred Clinton as president.
The classic GOP primary battle has traditionally pitted an establishment insider against a conservative reformer.  In the era of Trump, it is imperative that a candidate also capture the Trump/populist wing of the party in order to win.  Given that the president has sky-high approval ratings with Republican primary voters, this is probably the largest share of the primary electorate.
As great as the contrast is between Putnam (a consummate political insider and career politician) and DeSantis (an Iraq veteran and Reaganite) on the “establishment vs. reformer” scale, the gulf between the two of them vis-à-vis support for President Trump is immense.  Since Trump assumed office, DeSantis has been a leader in supporting his policies, ranging from the border wall to the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, as well as exposing the deep state of bureaucrats that targeted Trump and wreaked havoc during the Obama administration.

For Adam Putnam, the Trump presidency is a “circus.”  For Ron DeSantis, it’s a chance to Make American Great Again.

The Great Unmasking

By Clarice Feldman
I’m not talking about the unmasking of persons caught up in the Obama administration’s illegal surveillance of everyone connected with Trump and his campaign.  For that, there’s been more than sufficient evidence.  If you need more while we wait for the OIG reports, here are some excellent summaries: Sharyl Attkisson’s timeline of the events and Mark Steyn’s review:

As I think most persons paying attention now realize, the investigation into foreign interference with the 2016 election was created as a cover for domestic interference with the 2016 election. … Brennan and Clapper and Comey and McCabe.  They took tools designed to combat America’s foreign enemies and used them against their own citizens and their political opposition.  It was an intentional subversion of the electoral process conducted at the highest level by agencies with almost unlimited power.  And, if they get away with it, they will do it again, and again and again.  That’s what Brennan’s telling us on Twitter, and Clapper on “The View”:

Yeah?  So what?  Whatcha gonna do about it?

Good question. Or, in the pithy words of the creator of “Dilbert,” Scott Adams:

Four things to understand about SPYGATE:
1) There was no spy in the Trump campaign.
2) The spying that did NOT happen was totally justified.
3) It would be bad for national security to identify the spy who doesn’t exist.
4) His name is Stefan.

I’m talking about a different series of unmaskings: Heroes and Knaves, Allies and Foes, Pundits and Nincompoops, Friends and Enemies of Israel, all unmasked by the genius of President Trump.

Heroes and Knaves
It’s appropriate this Memorial Day weekend to salute the retiring NSA director, Admiral Mike Rogers, for courageously standing up against the Obama Administration and the intelligence apparatus, risking all to blow the whistle on the illegal sharing of FISA information on the part of those working to aid Hillary and defeat Trump.  A full timeline of his actions is detailed here:
  • November 2015-April 2016 – The FBI and DOJ’s National Security Division (NSD) uses private contractors to access raw FISA information using “To” and “From” FISA- 702(16) & “About” FISA-702(17) queries.
  • March 2016 – NSA Director Rogers becomes aware of improper access to raw FISA data.
  • April 2016 – Rogers orders the NSA compliance officer to run a full audit on 702 NSA compliance.
  • April 18 2016 – Rogers shuts down FBI/NSD contractor access to the FISA Search System.
  • April-September 2016 – Rogers continues his investigation.
  • September 26 2016 – DOJ’s NSD Head John Carlin files the Government’s proposed 2016 Section 702 certifications. The filing does not disclose the FISA Abuses. Carlin is aware of Rogers’ compliance review. The 2016 certifications are scheduled for Court approval on October 26, 2016.
  • September 27 2016 – Carlin announces he is resigning. Mary McCord will later assume his position.
  • October 15, 2016 – Carlin formally leaves the NSD.
  • Mid-October 2016 – DNI Clapper submits a recommendation to the White House that Director Rogers be removed from the NSA. Clapper’s effort fails.
  • October 20 2016 – Rogers is briefed by the NSA compliance officer on the Section 702 NSA compliance audit and “About” query violations.
  • October 21 2016 – Rogers shuts down all “About Query” activity. Rogers reports the activity to DOJ and prepares to go before the FISA Court.
  • October 21 2016 – DOJ & FBI seek and receive a Title I FISA probable cause order authorizing electronic surveillance on Carter Page from the FISC. At this point, the FISA Court is unaware of the Section 702 violations.
  • October 24 2016 – Rogers verbally informs the FISA Court of Section 702(17) violations.
  • October 26 2016 – Rogers formally informs the FISA Court of 702(17) violations in writing.
  • October 26, 2016 – The FISA Court refuses to formalize the 2016 Section 702 certifications. A complete overhaul of Section 702 processes ensues.
  • November 17 2016 (morning) – Rogers travels to meet President-Elect Trump and his Transition Team in Trump Tower. Rogers does not inform DNI James Clapper.
  • November 17 2016 (evening) – Trump Transition Team announces they are moving all transition activity to Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey.
The author, Jeff Carlson, is quite obviously correct in his conclusions: “we will never understand what Rogers did for our country,” and we would never have known of the spying and FISA violations without him as the intelligence community was caught unaware by the upset presidential race and was working hard to cover up its illegal conduct.

COMMENTARY: On Democrats, walls and voter ID

What’s the appeal of Anthem Country Club? It’s got a big, beautiful wall around it. And thick iron gates in front, protected by armed guards. There is virtually no crime inside walled, gated, armed Anthem.  I’ve lived here for almost 17 years. My kids grew up here. They played outside every day from morning till night, and I never worried for one moment. Because of the wall, the gates and the armed guards, my kids were as safe as if they lived in “Mayberry R.F.D.” Life is good behind the gates of Anthem.
In the rest of Las Vegas … not so much. In the rest of Vegas … lots of crime and fear. This proves walls, gates and armed guards are good if you want your family to be safe.
But wait. Anthem recently added a new feature to keep our residents safe. Drivers entering our gates must show a government-issued photo ID. Anyone entering our community — guests, gardeners, maids, nannies, pool cleaners, handymen, plumbers, electricians, delivery persons — must provide state or federal government-issued photo ID or they will be denied entry. Every single one of them.
There are many lessons we can learn from studying Anthem.
■ If you want your family and children to be safe, build a wall. Preferably a wall that is also surrounded by armed guards. The Vatican understands this lesson. Mexico understands — it has a wall on its southern border. Many rich liberals in America who live in gated communities — or gated private estates or buildings with doormen — understand this lesson, too. They just don’t want you to have a wall. They clearly think their children are more important than yours. They clearly think you’re stupid, as they argue walls and guns are unnecessary.
■ Liberal Democrats are hypocrites. Guess who lives inside the protected walls of Anthem Country Club? Harry Reid. You know, your former U.S. senator. The former chief water carrier for President Barack Obama, who spent his entire Senate career fighting viciously against a wall. Harry argued walls were terrible and unnecessary.
Harry could have retired anywhere in Vegas — or anywhere in America, for that matter. But he chose to live behind the walls … and gates … and armed guards of Anthem Country Club. Harry is my neighbor. Welcome to the neighborhood.  But, Harry, don’t liberals hate walls and gates and armed guards and photo ID? Don’t liberals call those things “racist”? Yet here sits Harry Reid and the entire Reid clan. Interesting.
■ The argument against Voter ID is a total scam.
How do all those gardeners and maids and pool cleaners and handymen drive through the gates of Anthem every day? The answer: They all already have government-issued photo IDs. So I guess it’s a lie when liberal politicians claim minorities don’t have photo IDs, or they’re too difficult for them to get or it’s “racist” to ask them for it.
I guess we just proved the liberal argument is a scam. Voter ID is an issue because liberals want election fraud. They can’t win without it. They want illegals to be able to vote by the millions for Democrats.
Folks, we’re being scammed. Anthem Country Club is the proof. What happens here is happening everywhere.

First music video I put together … may be a bit buggy (sorry if it is …) Well, after a little bit of consideration, I figured I’d create a music video in Honor of our Heroes (and also because I don’t see any Radio Tower Remix music videos on Youtube). All the pictures used were ones that I placed in a specific order, in order of emphasis on particular lines of the lyrics. (**Note: The color of the text has no such effect/emphasis on the song – I just used different colors so it would be easier to see on different pictures) A little bit of history behind Angel Flights: If you did not figure out via pictures already, Angel Flights are the U.S. Air Force planes (C-130’s) used to fly home our Fallen Soldiers. Angel Flight is also their call sign. In addition, Angel Flights have top priority in U.S. Airspace – as you saw the Towers say “number 1 for landing/takeoff” …. now of course, I know, there are other flights that have an even higher priority … but in reference to other standard military flights, Angel Flights get number 1 priority. “Heroes” – another term frequently used in the video is the term used to describe our Fallen Soldiers. Here are some links to the actual Angel Flight vidoes:… (Angel Flight)… (Angel Flight Radio Tower Remix)
