Remember the judge who gave the stop order is a community activist, provoked controversy by saying “black lives matter” from the bench., does Pro-bono legal work for illegal aliens, and he believes the purpose of the courts is to help people who feel disenfranchised. I though the courts we there to judge law and hand down sentences in convictions?
“The rationale for the ban was not only 9/11,” Bennett said. “It was to protect the United States from the potential for terrorism.”
“The court doesn’t get to look behind those determinations,” she added.
But the judge answered: “I’m also asked to look and determine if the executive order is rationally based. And rationally based, to some extent, means I have to find it grounded in fact instead of fiction.” He apparently did not look to far, the fact that ISIS said they would plant Jihadist among the refugees was publicized, and is now considered fiction according to this judge, to hell with the safety of American citizens, let them come.
Under Title 8, Section 1182 of the U.S. Code, the president has authority to use a proclamation to suspend the entry of “any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States [who] would be detrimental to the interests of the United States,” for however long he deems necessary. This provision was included in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952.
President Obama issued a presidential proclamation in 2011 suspending the entry of “any alien who planned, ordered, assisted, aided and abetted, committed or otherwise participated in” war crimes or other violations of humanitarian law. That means the State Department has authority to block someone from getting a visa if they are found ineligible under that criteria.
“The immigration law was designed to give as much discretionary authority to the executive branch as humanly possible, and to preclude the judicial branch from being able to review those decisions,” said Matthew Kolken, an immigration attorney.
So please tell me where these Progressive judges think President Trump does not have this right to ban travel from these countries? Why I attends the security briefing? I do not beleive it is the judges, they have no idea of the threats facing this nation. Turns out even Bush judicial appointees are in the socialist liberal tank.
Appeals Court Rejects Trump Bid to Restore Travel Ban
The U.S. Justice Department’s request to immediately reinstate President Donald Trump’s travel and immigration ban was denied early Sunday. The emergency stay came after a federal judge in Washington state put the executive order on hold nationwide. On Saturday the Department of Homeland Security said it was complying with the judge’s order and halting implementation of the executive order. The order, signed more than a week ago, halts immigration for foreign nationals of seven Muslim-majority countries. In its court filing, the Justice Department said judge James Robart’s decision to block the order “second-guesses the president’s national security judgment about the quantum of risk posed by the admission of certain classes of (non-citizens) and the best means of minimizing that risk.” Trump tweeted about the case multiple times on Saturday, at one point referring to Robart as the “so-called judge.”
I GUESS OUR AMERICAN GIANTS IN INDUSTRY THINK AMERICANS ARE IDIOTS READ ON IT WILL MAKE YOU STEAM, WHAT HAVE MUSLIM COUNTRIES CONTRIBUTED TO THIS NATION?
TECH FILES LEGAL BRIEF AGAINST TRUMP’S EXECUTIVE ORDER:
Tech companies are voicing their opposition to President Trump’s immigration orders in court. On Sunday night, 97 tech companies filed an amicus brief supporting Washington State’s lawsuit against the orders which ban foreign nationals from seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the U.S. The brief was signed by many of the industry’s giants, including Google, Facebook and Microsoft, as well as smaller tech companies including Mozilla, Zynga and the startup accelerator Y-Combinator.
“Immigrants make many of the Nation’s greatest discoveries, and create some of the country’s most innovative and iconic companies. Immigrants are among our leading entrepreneurs, politicians, artists, and philanthropists,” the company’s wrote in the brief. The companies contended that Trump’s ban would adversely affect their business interests.
“The Order represents a significant departure from the principles of fairness and predictability that have governed the immigration system of the United States for more than fifty years–and the Order inflicts significant harm on American business, innovation, and growth as a result.” Some big names were absent from the brief including Oracle, IBM and Amazon, which is based in Washington state. Amazon previously said that they would support the suit in an informal capacity. The other two CEO’s have or currently all hold advisory roles under Trump.
Oracle CEO Safra Catz joined Trump’s transition team in December. IBM CEO Ginni Rometty sits on Trump’s Strategic and Policy forum. The legal briefs are only the latest salvo in an escalating fight between tech and Trump over his immigration orders.

The so-called Badass Teachers Association a suddenly formed anti-Trump organization is calling for all members to don black robes to protest the appointment of Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education. According to their blog, the Badass Teachers Association (BAT) was formed this year for the apparent purpose of stopping Trump nominee Betsy DeVos. Never mind that teachers are supposed to be non-partisan, never mind that naming their organization “badass” sets a pretty poor example to their students, the idea that they are bringing their politics into the classroom by wearing robes is unacceptable. The BAT hates charter schools they hate choice, and so they hate DeVos.
The BAT list of demands appearing on their blog www.badassteachersblogspot.com includes: “School cultures rooted in equitable practices that honor the culture and history of all students and strive to heal and transform past and current oppressive systems.” It is not clear what the BAT means by wanting to “transform past and current oppressive systems, but it sounds like they have a problem with America. The Teachers unions threw 100% of their support in the last election to Hillary Clinton, and they make no effort to disguise their fondness for their monopoly of a failing public education system. For this reason, it is unlikely that any Trump nominee who supported charter schools and choice would be acceptable to them.
School administrators should not permit the wearing of black robes or any overt political statement in the classroom. Teachers should teach, not indoctrinate
COMMENT: Maybe, just maybe these educators should spend more of their time in the classroom instead of demonstrating on something they no very little about, they are like the kindergarten class being lead by the hand to the zoo, the unions are leading them done the road of communism hand in hand, they are beyond thinking for themselves anymore. The unions of this country today are based on communist ideology and the big daddy Trumka is a registered member of the “Communist Party USA”(CPUSA)
